Guided-missile boats, project 1241 (“Молния” code, Tarantul-class corvettes by NATO classification) are a project (series) of large guided-missile boats, which were constructed at shipyards of the USSR in 1979-1996 and supplied for the USSR Navy, as well as for export to USSR-friendly states.

The USSR Navy operated these boats actively in all fleets (the Baltic, the Black Sea and the Pacific Ocean) except for the Northern Fleet during the 1980s in the coastal waters of the Soviet Union. In 2011, 1241 project guided- missile boats and their modifications are in service of the Russian Navy and naval forces of other states. The series consists of several subtypes, which differ in the weapons and the type of propulsion machinery.
